halloween competition7th November 2011 - Winners of Gaskells halloween competition

Following on from our successful Valentine's Day Prize draw, Gaskell Motor Bodies Great Harwood were pleased to present Mr & Mrs Willis With all expenses paid evening meal chauffeur driven night out to Checco's Great Harwood in conjunction with Bowker Bmw Blackburn who kindly loaned the 7 Series Bmw for the night.

The competition was themed around Halloween, All entrants had repairs carried out in the month of October, and a like for like donation was made to the royal British Legion / Poppy Appeal. Cheque Excepted by Len Myerscough Chairman of the Royal British Legion Great Harwood branch.

Nick Gaskell managing director of Gaskell Motor Bodies, commented, "That it was great fun driving the lucky couple to and from the restaurant especially on Halloween, and thanked everyone for their support.


Jordan Fearn29th September 2011 - UK Panel Beater of the year competition

Jordan Fearn hailed as the youngest ever panel beater to enter Panel Beater of the year Awards

Last Friday Jordan Fearn, of Clayton le Moors, was praised as being one of the top Panel Beaters, in the country. He competed against others, twice his age; they were tested on conventional repair methods, such as welding, and also new methods, such as riveting and bonding. He was successful in getting into the top 4 and came runner up. Jordan is one of the youngest ever Panel beaters to achieve semi finalist status, quite an accolade. His success is due to his own determination, training from Training 2000 Blackburn, and support from his employers Gaskell Motor Bodies, Gt Harwood.

Nick Gaskell, MD of Gaskell Motor Bodies attended the prize giving with Jordan, and said 'it is a fantastic achievement for Jordan, and shows his commitment to the vehicle repair industry. He is a valued staff member, with fantastic skills, and I am extremely proud of his success.

The Gaskell Motor Bodies Charity Event in aid of Help for Heroes and Radio Lollipop raised £1500 thanks to the Paul Swift Precision Driving Experience.

Chorley nissan27th April 2011 - Nissan added to Gaskell portfolio
The approval makes Gaskell Motor Bodies one of only 180 nominated car bodyshops in the UK selected by Nissan Motor (GB).

Gaskells were nominated by Chorley Nissan and then audited by Nissan bodyshop experts. After this process they have been granted the approval and will work closely with Chorley Nissan to ensure customers receive a great repair service as well as keep their vehicles warranties in place.

Nick Gaskell, Owner, said, 'We are very pleased to have been nominated by Chorley Nissan and then approved by Nissan Motor (GB) . We are proud to add Nissan to the list of car manufacturers that we are approved by, including Mercedes-Benz and VW/Audi. As a local independent it shows we can repair different types of cars for private customers, fleets and local businesses in and around the north west.'

Jason Slattery, Service Manager at Chorley Nissan, said, 'We are really happy that Gaskell Motor Bodies received the approval as we work very closely with them. They really look after our customers, giving them an excellent service whether it's repairing their car after an accident or simply keeping it looking like new.'

Well over 40 members attended the Gaskell Motor Bodies (Gaskells to you and me) open day on Saturday 22nd May. Run by Nick and Louise, Gaskells is a family run business who won the ’Small Body Shop of the Year’ award in 2008.
